Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 releasing in August in UK

The Vodafone-exclusive Galaxy Tab 10.1v could not make it to UK but Samsung today announced that its TouchWiz-loaded and slimmer Galaxy Tab will be launched for UK consumers. Samsung is trying to keep the price under wraps but did say that consumers should expect the tablet to retail from August 4.

To rehash, Galaxy Tab 10.1 is one of the slimmest and lightest tablets around that measures just 8.6mm in thickness and 595g in weight. Despite the slender form factor, the tablet is packed with powerful hardware like a 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor, 3MP and 2MP camera capable of recording HD video, HSPA+ 21Mbps support, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth and storage options ranging from 16GB to 64GB.

Samsung also said that they’ll release the Galaxy Tab 8.9 later this year.
