Research in Motion has confirmed at the Mobile World Congress that they’ll launch two new variants of its already announced PlayBook tablet. Expected in the second half of this year, RIM will bring two PlayBooks, one supporting LTE and other HSPA+ network in addition to the Wi-Fi-only PlayBook and Wi-Fi + WiMAX version.
Except for the enhanced network support, rest of the specs of PlayBook will remain the same. To rehash, PlayBook will be powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor and feature 7-inch display with WSVGA resolution support, OS built by QNX, 1GB RAM, dual HD cameras – 3MP front-facing and 5MP at back, HD video recording support, HDMI-out, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and bridge support to sync Blackberry phone’s content.
