Consumers seeking an affordable Android solution can take a look at MetroPCS’ recently announced Ascend. Ascend from Huawei is the latest entry-level Android handset that claims to give decent features at just $179. Do note that the asking price of the handset does not involve any contractual obligation so it is in fact the final price of the handset.
The phone’s feature set includes Android 2.1 OS, a 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen display, 3.2MP camera, Wi-Fi, microSD card slot supporting up to 16GB and 1500mAh battery.
