LG has announced an affordable Android device for first-time smartphone adopters. The LG Vortex will start selling from November 18 on Verizon and will allow users to enjoy the advantages of Android 2.2 in a sleek design.
Vortex is powered by Froyo and features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, 3G with HotSpot capability, Swype text input, 3.2MP camera with flash, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, pre-loaded with Google Apps, access to Android Market, Bing Search and Maps, Skype support and microSD card slot supporting up to 16GB.
LG Vortex will sell for $79.99 on a 2-year contract after a $100 mail-in rebate.
