HTC Legend to get Android 2.2 in “coming weeks”

If you’re a Legend owner here’s some good news for you. HTC has confirmed that the Android 2.2 (Froyo) update will hit the device “in the coming weeks.” HTC says they’ve been testing the Froyo build for quite some time and the “update has been progressing quite well.”

The update will be initially released for unbranded, unlocked Legend devices and users with a network-branded phone will have to wait a little longer.

HTC says the reason for the delay for branded Legends is due to approval process so that the update is supported by the carrier.
