Bloomberg: Apple to hold a media event on Sept. 7, will unveil iPod touch and Apple TV

Bloomberg has published a report that purportedly gives some meaty details regarding Apple’s plans for iPod touch and Apple TV. According to their source, Apple is planning to hold an event on September 7 where they’ll unveil a new iPod touch, Apple TV and a TV Show rental service.

The next-generation iPod touch is said to have a screen matching that of iPhone 4’s whereas Apple TV will be marked down to $99 with a low storage HDD.

Despite two hardware launches, Apple will concentrate more on its new TV Show rental service that will allow consumers to rent TV episodes for 99 cents for 48 hours.
