Asus Eee Pads that got its official unveiling at Computex are dated and priced by Asus. The 12-inch EP121 runs Windows 7 on Core 2 Duo CPU is expected to arrive by December this year and will cost a whopping $1000. The reason for such a high price is because Asus will bundle a docking station that will transform the tablet into a laptop.
However, Asus’ another Eee Pad that runs Android OS will be priced aggressively, to tackle iPad. It will arrive in March 2011 carrying a price tag of $399, $100 less than iPad’s cheapest version.
Asus also confirmed a 10-inch Eee Pad that will be powered by an ARM CPU and run Windows Embedded Compact 7 OS. It will come in January for around $499.
