Apple has released the first beta of iOS 4.1 to developers. The software update makes use of a new method to compute signal strength, makes the first three bars a bit taller for easy display and has an updated modem firmware.
The update was apparently the solution from Apple to resolve network reception issue but Macrumors’ forum members have confirmed that there is no change in the reception except the visual change.
