We reviewed Cowon’s V5 last month and despite it giving a worthy PMP experience, we couldn’t help but notice the absence of Wi-Fi. Good thing is that Cowon is now making amends to its 4.8-inch media player.
Cowon has today introduced V5W in South Korea that not only adds Wi-Fi but also supports playback of full HD content via the integrated HDMI-out port. Users can now surf the internet from the pre-installed Opera web browser, watch videos on YouTube and more. However, other than that, we’re basically looking at the same V5 HD. It has the same great codec support, JetEffect 3.0 and an enormous battery life, giving up to 45 hours of music, 10 hours of video or 300 hours on standby.
It will be released on July in three colors – Purple, Black, White in 16/32/64GB capacities.
