Google is yet to set a date for Android’s 2.2 Froyo release but this hasn’t kept them from revealing the release timeframe of the update after Froyo. In the FAQ page of WebM, Google slips out Android’s next update, termed as Gingerbread for Q4 2010. The big word in the FAQ is “planned”, which means the release is not locked yet and could be delayed if needed.
Nonetheless, we do hope that the release is not moved so that we can have our sweet gingerbread delicacy in time for Christmas.
