3-Dimensional content is expected to be supported by most electronic devices but South Koreans have developed a technology that shows off 3-D in a book. The smart scientists at Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology have developed two story books for children that come to life as the kid triggers some cues. The animation can be seen by wearing computer screen goggles and different angles provide different 3-D moves.
Kim Sang-cheol, the leader of the project claims it took them three years to develop the software and expects to see the tech used for images shown over phones or at museums to liven the historic artifacts.
Kim says the current price is not suitable for mass market consumption and is working to lower it and eventually bring it to the market.
