So after whispers of Microsoft’s fabled Pink Project, we’ve got the first live pictures of phone from the Pink range. According to Gizmodo, the pictures are of Pink’s Pure phone. Pure – as we can see from the image – is a horizontal QWERTY slider phone that is said to be more intuitive than Android, will have a display supporting 480×320 resolution and has an OS based on WinCE, pretty much like the Zune HD and Windows Phone 7.
The UI in the picture is reminiscent Windows Phone 7’s UI but won’t have WP7 mainly because it won’t make the WP7 spec requisites. Gizmodo calls it Windows Phone 7: Feature Phone edition and I think it makes sense as it can open a whole new market of feature phones for Microsoft.
Nonetheless, the phone’s expected to be launched on Verizon in around May or June.

Whenever I see a new phone with a sliding keyboard, it makes me think that these companies don’t like making money. And why “PINK”…is Paris Hilton endorsing this? C’mon Microsoft, I was expecting you guys to be smarter.
