But since then, there’s very little (or nothing) they’ve shown to convince anyone. Now, Techcrunch has heard from a reliable source that Google is about let loose the OS. It will be available for download “within a week” that expectedly, won’t be in a pristine condition and will mostly face hardware driver issues.

i tried Chrome OS and it is pretty much like a scaled down version of Ubuntu. Chrome is just based on Linux and there is nothing new about it.
