AMD today announced a range of Athlon II processors including the first triple-core processors. The three-core CPUs help to fill the price and performance void which is created by the dual- and quad-core CPUs. The triple-core procs run at clock speed ranging from 2.2GHz to 2.9GHz and operating at TDP up to 95W. The Athlon II X3 CPUs are priced from $97 to $102 (when ordered in bulk).
Additionally, AMD also announced more dual-core and quad-core CPUs for users seeking decent performance at less price.
