HTC has launched India’s one of first Windows Mobile 6.5 phones, Touch2. HTC will sell it as an unlocked device but if you buy it from RCom (Reliance Mobile), they’ll bundle the phone with six months of free data usage limited to 200MB each month.
On the hardware front, Touch2 boasts 2.8-inch touchscreen display with QVGA resolution and TouchFLO UI, 528MHz processor, 3G, 3.2MP camera, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zoom bar, 3.5mm audio jack and microSD card support.
The phone will sell for Rs. 24,490 in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh while the rest of India will get it for Rs. 22,490.

Kunal, are you sure this phone is available in unlocked form at HTC outlets? I mean, doesn’t launching with RCom automatically implies that the phone is locked and will work only with RCom’s network?
If this phone is available unlocked officially at HTC outlets, is the price equal to 22490/- and 24990/- for the corresponding regions?
I am not sure if one has to pay a premium to get the phone officially unlocked?
Please help. I have been waiting for this phone.
Kunal Gangar says
@Anmol: Launching with an operator does not imply the phone is locked. HTC had done with Magic, Hero (Airtel), Samsung I7500 Galaxy (Tata Docomo), which by the way are unlocked.
The prices mentioned above are the same at all HTC authorized resellers.
