The first time Dell’s Mac Mini wannabe surfaced there was not much to tell about except to interpret anything and everything from the image. Now thanks to some sleuthing, we’ve got detailed specs of Dell’s compact Inspiron zino HD machine.
Apparently, zino HD will come in two variants – the Inspiron 300 and Inspiron 400.
The Inspiron 300 packs in netbook-ish specs in a compact chassis which includes unspecified Atom processor, 1GB RAM, 3.5-inch HDD, Intel GMA graphics, DVD writer, multicard reader and ports like VGA/USB/eSATA/Audio.
Understandably, Inspiron 400 is the bigger brother here with choices of AMD Athlon or Athlon X2 CPU, up to 8GB RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 GPU, Blu-ray reader or DVD burner, Wi-Fi, 4-in-1 card reader, HDMI-out, VGA, USB/eSATA ports and Ethernet.
The pricing and availability is still a mystery.

“Mac Mini Wannabe”? People just like to runt their mouths however, they like. I know Mac Mini certainly wants to be this bad boy with Medic Center at the heart of its living room entertainment and other Windows 7 features, Mac Mini is in the dust.

Without inbuilt OCUR tuners, this bad boy will require external OCUR digital cable tuners for TV/HD/Premium content. Can the so-called Mac Mini do that? iDon’t think so.
