AMD has unveiled the world’s first graphics cards to fully support DirectX 11 that will be shipped with Windows 7 this October. The ATI Radeon HD 5870 and the ATI Radeon HD 5850 from the 5800 Series boast full DX11 support, 1GB of GDDR5 memory, 1440 (5850) / 1600 (5870) stream processors and up to 2.72 TeraFLOPS of processing power.
In addition to this, the cards support Eyefinity – ATI’s multi-display tech, CrossFireX, full HD playback and integration of various ports like dual-link DVI, DisplayPort, HDMI 1.3 and VGA.
The cards will make its way to the retail market in time with the Windows 7 launch.
