LG pulled off from the notebook market this February in India citing financial non-viability. But now according to LG Electronics India MD Moon Bum Shin, they’re planning to re-enter the market by launching mini notebooks aka netbooks.
“Notebooks hardly generate profit as big amount of purchase comes only from corporates. We had pulled out but we are thinking of starting again by launching netbooks (mini laptops) and other product line.”
LG’s move is similar to its Korean counterpart Samsung, who few years back pulled off from the Indian market but resurfaced again late last year.
