HTC today launched the Hero Android device in India. It will be the second Android phone for the Indian market and as like Magic, Airtel will carry the device offering 100MB of free data transfer for the first six months along with flurry of Airtel services like Portfolio Manager, Hello Tune Manager, Weather Channel and Mobshare.
Hero is also the first Android device to sport a customizable Sense UI that allows the user to switch profiles from business to personal easily, install live widgets and more. Amongst other features, it has a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen, HSPA, quad-band GSM support, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack, 5MP autofocus camera and microSD card slot.
Hero will be sold at Rs. 34,600 in Maharashtra and Rs. 31,990 in the rest of India.
