Canon announced couple of camcorders in the Japanese market with upgraded storage. The iVIS HF21 and HF S11 bring along 64GB of storage which can also be expanded via an SDHC card if needed. On the video front, both the camcorders feature Canon’s DIGIC DV III video processor and can record in full HD resolution at 24 fps in AVCHD format.
Regarding the still photo skills, the HF S11 is capable to take up to 8MP shots with 10X optical zoom while the HF21 is capable to take at 4MP with 15X optical zoom. Other features include image stabilizer, 2.7-inch LCD, face detection, AV port and headphone/mic input. Expect it to hit the Japanese retail market in August at an undisclosed price.
