Microsoft at the Worldwide Partner Conference in New Orleans announced the Technical Preview of Office 2010. Technical Preview will allow select number of people to try out the preview version of Office 2010. If you’re itching to try it out first hand, you can go the legit way by applying to the Technical Preview program or head over to your favorite torrent site to download the leaked build.
Microsoft is also looking to extend usage of Office in a number of ways. They have announced Office Web applications that will allow users to create, edit or view Office files on the web, irrespective of OS or the browser.
The offline Office suite has been trimmed down and will be available five different editions whereas the online Office is free for Windows Live users, on-premises for Office volume-licensing customers or will be subscription based via Microsoft Online Services. Check out the Office Web video below.
