LG is reluctant to ship OLED equipped phones but the TV market is a different ball game. LG’s Won Kim confirmed to OLED-info that their prototype will be realized to a commercial product and will start shipping by December 2009 in Korea while other regions will get after that.
LG had showcased a prototype at the CES this year that boasted the following specs: 1000,000:1 contrast ratio, 30,000 hours life and an HD ready resolution of 1,366×768 pixels.
