Nokia introduced 6216 Classic candybar styled phone at the 3rd WIMA conference held in Monaco. 6216 Classic brings in fully integrated Near Field Communication (NFC) advantage which can be exploited by operators to share content, advertise or act as a contactless secure payment gateway and ticketing service. A customer can safely store his credit card info on his SIM card and waving the device in front of a terminal executes the transaction quickly.
Apart from NFC support, the phone also packs 3G connectivity, music player, FM Radio and microSD card slot supporting up to 8GB storage.
It will start retailing from third quarter at a price of around 150 Euros plus taxes.
