Intel and its production partners of Classmate PC revealed the convertible tablet at the CES. Not much has changed from last time – there’s a 1.6GHz Atom processor, 1GB RAM, 60GB HDD, Windows XP, 180-degree swiveling screen, accelerometer and a stylus. Since it is meant for children, Intel has made the netbook rugged to withstand accidental bumps and drops and also has a water resistant keyboard. Another feature it boasts is the palm rejection feature which helps the user to write even while the palm rests on the screen.
It is being reported that this netvertible goes for $550 but cheaper in case of bulk orders.
