Idea Cellular today announced HTC Touch Pro (T7276) and Touch Viva (T2223) for the Indian market. Touch Pro is the same as Touch Diamond but it sports a physical sliding QWERTY keyboard. On the other hand, Touch Viva is an alternative to the original Touch running WinMo 6.1 Professional and integrates GPS . Giving out two exclusives together definitely puts Idea in a league with Airtel and others, who are responsible of offering exclusive phones to their users in the past.
Now let’s see who brings Touch HD or G1 to India. Our bet is on Airtel to do the honors.
Idea will sell Touch Pro for Rs. 34,900 ($705) while Touch Viva will go for Rs. 16,490 ($333).

The HTC Touch Pro released in India seems to have the same processor (Qualcomm MSM7206A) as the HTC Touch Diamond released earlier. This means that it will not support 3G either. Poor show HTC. Source – http://www.htc.com/in/product.aspx?id=63486.
