With Apple in the customer list of Nvidia for GeForce 9400M chipset, it was expected that other notebook vendors would jump in too. Companies like Asustek, HP and Acer have inked a deal with Nvidia to sell them MCP79 boards with GeForce 9400M chipset onboard. These companies are yet to sell their 9400M notebooks but they don’t spare a moment to speculate that 9400M can snatch around 20% of the share in the notebook GPU market.
Well, the statement does not look unrealistic as 9400M is considerably superior to the other integrated graphics chipsets but I think we should rather wait before jumping to conclusions. After all, reality is not that far as the expected launch of 9400M equipped notebooks will be by the end of this year.
