We knew Samsung’s been eyeing the netbook market for some time as its unnamed netbook made a couple of guest appearances before. But today Samsung decided to unwrap its baby officially and throw in the big bad world of netbooks. Dubbed as NC10, this one has a 10.2-inch WSVGA (1024 x 600) SuperBright Non-Gloss LED screen and houses Intel’s Atom processor as its brain. Before coming to the unique features the netbook boasts, contemporary features include a decent amount of RAM (presumably 1GB), 80-160GB of HDD, Windows XP, Wi-Fi, 3 USB ports, 1.3 megapixel camera, Ethernet, 3-in-1 card reader, Bluetooth 2.0, VGA-out and a 6-cell battery promising a runtime of up to 8 hours.
Samsung has included a full PC-type keyboard which is touted to be the biggest and best in its class. Protect-o-Edge will protect the netbook from unwanted bumps and blows while Silver Nano technology on the keyboard will kill away the bacteria and germs feeding on it making it more hygienic and clean to use.
The NC10 will start selling from October in countries like UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Netherlands, Russia, China, Hong Kong and Korea. No word on the Indian release.
