Gateway has unveiled a compact, lightweight notebook in Japan. The MX1020j weighs 1.4kg, has a 12.2-inch wide format screen and powered by an Intel Core Solo U1300 (1.06 GHz) processor. The notebook is made up of magnesium alloy and packs 512MB RAM which can be expandable upto 2GB, 40GB SATA HDD, Intel 945GM Express, two USB 2.0 ports, IEEE 1394, WiFi, mini D-Sub, card reader and a 56K Modem.
This notebook will hit the stores on May 25 in Japan at a price tag of $1342.
