Synology expanded its BeeStation plug-and-play storage lineup with the all-new BeeStation Plus. The Plus series now comes with 8TB of built-in storage, and compared to the non-Plus variant, the BeeStation Plus is 4.8X faster.
Synology introduced the BeeStation series for users who don’t want to deal with the hassle of setting up a NAS.
The BeeStation Plus is a plug-and-play solution that can automatically backup data from mobile devices, PCs, cloud services and even external storage devices. It also comes with an on-device facial recognition solution that automatically segregates photos based on the subject or subject.
However, the most interesting feature of BeeStation Plus is the support for the Plex Media Server. With Plex Pass, users can quickly access their personal media collection on the device of their choice.
In terms of data protection, BeeStation Plus brings snapshot-based restore points along with a three-month BeeProtect cloud backup subscription.
