Qualcomm has expanded its mid-tier portfolio with the introduction of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor. As is the trend, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 also focuses on delivering improved AI experiences, which, according to Qualcomm, performs 65% better AI performance with support for Gen AI assistants, large language models (LLMs) running directly on the device and with new-in-series stable diffusion image generation.
The CPU and GPU performances also see a boost, which is 27% better and 30% faster in CPU performance and graphics renderings, respectively.
Additionally, the chip supports Wi-Fi 7 and is one of the first Snapdragons outside the 8-series to boast Qualcomm Expanded Personal Area Network (XPAN) technology.
New devices powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 are expected in the next few weeks from HONOR, vivo, and realme.
