Samsung India announced a new smartphone to cater to the affordable crowd. The Galaxy F06 5G is Samsung’s first phone to break the sub-10k rupees barrier and provide 5G connectivity. Set at Rs. 9,999 (or Rs. 9,499 if you consider a bank offer), the Galaxy F06 5G supports 12 5G bands that support all networks in India and Carrier Aggregation to speed up transfer speeds.
The phone boasts a ‘Ripple Glow’ finish and comes in color options of Bahama Blue and Lit Violet. We would have loved it in Black but it’s a request for another day. Aesthetics aside, the Galaxy F06 5G comes with a decent hardware set. Powering the phone is MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 processor, which, according to Samsung, boasts an AnTuTu score of 416K. It has a 6.7-inch HD+ screen that can reach a peak brightness of 800 nits, a dual camera setup of 50+2MP (depth) at the back, and an 8MP camera on the front for handling snapping duties.
Rounding up the hardware are the 4GB or 6GB RAM options, 128GB internal storage, 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.
The phone runs Android 15 with 4 OS upgrade commitments and 4 years of security updates.
The Galaxy F065G will go on sale on Flipkart and samsung.com from Feb 20 for Rs. 9,999 for the 4GB variant and 10,999 for the 6GB variant.
