Apple has launched the Apple Invites app, which makes creating and sharing an event invite easy. The app ties in nicely with Apple’s other services and makes it a “hub” of everything related to that particular event. While the invite requires a paid iCloud+ subscription, event attendees can RSVP, upload their clicked photos and videos to the shared event album, and even access to Apple Music playlists, regardless of their affiliation with the Apple ecosystem.
There are several pre-loaded images for the invite background but the app allows users to choose a custom image or seek help of Apple Intelligence to produce original invite images.
As mentioned, the iCloud+ is a paid subscription, which in India starts from Rs. 75 per month. In addition to the Invites access, the subscription gives expanded storage from the measly 5GB in the free tier that can be used to backup photos, videos and documents; custom email domains for their iCloud email addresses; private relay feature to hide IP and other identifying details while browsing on the Safari browser; and support for HomeKit Secure Video.
