Apple has been operating in India for the last two decades and it was just a few years ago, Apple started taking Indian consumers seriously. As part of that strategy is the launch of an online store, which is now a reality in 2020. Apple India customers now have an option to shop for Apple products online, in addition to online stores like Flipkart and Amazon.
There are certain advantages when one buys from the online Apple store but not cheaper, in some cases, at least. For instance, buying an iPhone SE is turning out to be cheaper when you buy from Flipkart as compared to buying directly from the official store. However, if you buy expensive devices like the iPhone 11 Pro, you will end up paying less on the official store than on e-commerce platforms. The price parity is expected, of course.
The advantages of buying from the store include chatting with “Apple Specialists” for assistance. Customers can trade-in their older devices, multiple pay options, configure to order, free personal sessions for different Apple products and AppleCare+.
Apple India claims the “ongoing investment and innovation support” supports about 900,000 jobs in the country and initiatives like App Design and Development Accelerator in Bengaluru supports thousands of local developers.
