Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi Note 8 Pro in India running on the Mediatek G90T chipset that is focused on gaming. The phone also features a liquid cooling system that reduces the phone temperature during intense gaming sessions. Redmi Note 8 Pro sports a 6.53-inch Full HD+ LCD display with HDR. The phone has a 91.4% screen-to-body ratio.
In terms of camera, Xiaomi has packed quad cameras in the phone with the primary camera being the 64-megapixel Samsung GW1 Sensor with ISOCELL Plus technology, an 8-megapixel 120-degree ultra-wide-angle lens, 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor for 2cm macro shots. The selfie camera is 20-megapixel.
The phone is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 at the rear and is also curved. It is splash resistant, thanks to the IP52 certification rating. Redmi Note 8 Pro features a dedicated micro SD card slot and dual SIM slots. With Alexa built-in, users can use the phone with Alexa’s voice commands. The battery of the phone is 4500mAh and supports MediaTek Pump Express 18W fast charging. The phone also comes with a 3.5-mm headphone jack, which is a nice inclusion.
Available in Gamma Green, Halo White and Shadow Black colours, the Redmi Note 8 Pro 6GB/64GB is priced at Rs. 14,999,
6GB/128GB version costs Rs. 15,999 and the 8GB/128GB version retails for Rs. 17,999. The phone will be available from 21 October on Amazon.in and Mi.com. Out-of-the-box, Redmi Note 8 Pro will run on Android 9 on MIUI 10 which will later be updated to MIUI 11.
