OnePlus TV launching in September in India

Last week, OnePlus had revealed the name of its Smart TV, OnePlus TV along with the logo. Today we have confirmation that OnePlus TV will be launching in India in September and will be Amazon exclusive. Amazon India has already setup a ‘coming soon’ page. India first, because this is an important market for OnePlus and the support that it receives from the community here.

As per Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus,

We all know, “content is king,” which remains one of the major reasons for television’s continued relevance in our lives. Yet, the content ecosystem is quite different from one country to another. We have always had a very positive relationship with content providers in India, who have always been willing to partner with us, which guarantees great content for our users.

Seems like OnePlus is already in talks with content providers in India and might launch with some exciting content to start with and keep adding down the line. Besides launching in India, OnePlus TV will also be launched in North America, Europe and China regions as soon as OnePlus partners with most of local and regional content providers.
