Xiaomi today announced a new upgrade to its Redmi A series – the Redmi 7A. The Redmi 7A takes over from the Redmi 4A, 5A and the 6A that have cumulatively sold over 23.6 million units and brings in a newer chipset, improved camera and battery.
The Redmi 7A comes with a 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 439 processor with 2GB RAM and 16 or 32GB internal storage options. The phone has an 18:9 5.45-inch HD+ full screen display, dial SIM support and a dedicated microSD card slot that accepts up to 256GB.
There’s a 12MP Sony IMX486 sensor at the back whereas the front features a 5MP sensor with AI Portrait mode. Interestingly, the phone is equipped with a 4000mAh battery, FM Radio functionality and a 2-year warranty.
The phone will sell in 2GB+16GB and 2GB+32GB variants for an introductory price of Rs.5,799 and Rs.5,999. Post the introductory offer, they’ll sell for Rs. 5,999 and Rs. 6,199.
