Audible is now in India

Audible India

Amazon’s premium audiobook service, Audible has officially launched in the Indian market. While the service was live at audible.in for a few months as closed beta, the service was opened to the public during Diwali last week. 

Audible India brings a selection of more than 200,000 audiobooks, including from some Indian classic and contemporary authors. The book Mafia Queens of Mumbai is performed by Bollywood actors Rajkummar Rao, Radhika Apte and Kalki Koechlin.

Currently, Audible is giving a 30-day free trial to new users and a 90-day trial to Amazon Prime users wherein they get one or three (if you’re a Prime member) free audiobook of their choice, after which you’ll be charged Rs. 199 a month. The subscription will continue to give one free audiobook a month and special discounted prices for Audible subscribers.
