The third iPhone to break cover at Apple’s event yesterday is the iPhone XR, which at Rs. 76,900, is the affordable iPhone to be announced. The phone loses the premium OLED panel and 3D Touch but comes with a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina Display, True Tone support and haptic touch that instantly launch the camera or flashlight on the homescreen.
The iPhone XR is made from 7000 series aluminium with a glass back design for wireless charging and IP67 rating for protection against water and dust. Unlike the iPhone XS duo, the iPhone XR is colourful and will be offered in six colour options – white, black, blue, yellow, coral and (PRODUCT)RED.
iPhone XR matches iPhone XS’ performance with A12 Bionic chip onboard and an hour and a half longer battery life than the iPhone 8 Plus.
It also runs iOS 12, supports dual-SIM connectivity, and comes with a 12MP camera at the back with Smart HDR, new depth control and 4K video recording support.
The phone will go on sale from October 26 in storage options of 64GB, 128GB and 256GB.
