Fitbit launches waterproof Charge 3 fitness band

August 20, 2018 By Anish Leave a Comment

The successor to the Charge 2, Fitbit announced the Charge 3 fitness band.  The new Charge 3 sports a premium design and is water resistant up to 50M so you can use the same in the pool or wear it in the shower. It is made from aerospace grade aluminum case and the touch-screen display features Corning Gorilla Glass 3.   Besides this, it also features more than 15 goal-based exercise modes. As per Fitbit, Charge 3 can last up to 7 days on a single charge.

As compared to Charge 2, the Charge 3 boasts of advanced health and fitness features found on a Fitbit tracker to date. Fitbit has enhanced its 24/7 PurePulse heart rate technology for even greater accuracy during exercise and provides a better measure of calorie burn and resting heart rate to optimize workouts and uncover health trends. The Charge 3 adds a SpO2 sensor – a first for a Fitbit tracker – adds the potential to estimate relative blood oxygen levels and help track new health indicators, like sleep apnea.

Charge 3 will be available for Rs. 14,999 starting November 2018 across online and offline stores. The additional bands, Classic band, Woven band and Leather band are sold separately at Rs. 2,900, Rs. 3,490 and Rs. 4,490 respectively.
