Xiaomi launched the Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite in Spain. These devices will be globally available. The Mi A2 is a unibody phone made of aluminum. The phone is 7.3mm and features a 5.99-inch 18:9 Full-Screen display, protected by a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 panel. In terms of the hardware, the Mi A2 is powered by Snapdragon 660 processor. The device will retail in three variants, 4GB+32GB, 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB. The Mi A2 features 12-megapixel (Sony IMX486 sensor) and 20-megapixel (Sony IMX376 sensor) dual-cameras. Both have f/1.75 aperture and a larger pixel size. The front selfie camera is 20-megapixel with HDR and soft selfie light.
On the other hand, the Mi A2 Lite is the economical version of the Mi A2. Powered by Snapdragon 625 processor, the Mi A2 Lite comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The rear cameras on the Mi A2 Lite are 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel and the front camera is 5-megapixel that supports AI Portrait Mode to deliver Bokeh mode in selfie portraits.
The Mi A2 sports a 3000mAh battery and gets a Type C USB port, whereas the Mi A2 Lite comes with 4000mAh battery. Both these devices are launched under the Android One program and also support Google’s Project Treble, this means that they will get software and security patches update frequently.
The Mi A2 4GB+32GB version will sell for €249, 4GB+64GB for €279 and 6GB+128GB for €349. Mi A2 Lite will be available at 3GB+32GB for €179 and 4GB+64GB for €229 in Spain. The devices will be rolled out gradually in 40 markets around the world, with availability starting in late July.
