After Google announced their first Google Home device in the Indian market, Amazon has doubled its efforts to bring its virtual assistant to our living rooms. The American company has now launched Echo Spot that brings the same Alexa goodness but in a compact form factor and with a display. You can ask Alexa about the news, calendar or the weather and the Echo Spot can show off that information on its display. There’s also a camera on the top that allows Echo users to place a video or an audio call to other Echo Spot or any other users who have got the Alexa app installed.
The device also allows to watch video content like trailers from Prime Video but given the relationship with Google, YouTube doesn’t work.
Moreover, Echo Spot allows to connect existing speakers via the 3.5mm audio jack and music service support via Prime Music, Saavn and TuneIn.
The Echo Spot is priced at Rs. 12,999 but is currently available at a promotional price of Rs. 10,499 or Rs. 19,999 for two devices. ICICI Bank card holders can also avail an additional 10 percent cashback.
