Asus’ latest ZenFones are here and they eerily look like – you guessed it – Apple’s iPhone X. It’s not entirely edge-to-edge display on the front but it’s an 18:9 6.2-inch Full HD+ display in a 5.5-inch body. Asus went ahead and even ripped off the camera placement similar to the iPhone X.
Nevertheless, going by the hardware, it seems ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 5Z will offer decent performance with Snapdragon 636 and Snapdragon 845 respectively. There will be 4 or 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage for the cheaper ZenFone 5 but ZenFone 5Z will come in configurations of 6GB and 8GB with storage up to 256GB.
The cameras on the phones remain the same, which is a 12MP IMX363 image sensor at the back with f/1.8 aperture and 120-degree secondary camera along with an 8MP front-facing camera.
The phone also features face unlock, 4K video recording, 3300mAh battery with Asus BoostMaster and AI charging as well as DTS Headphone:X support.
Asus has not set any particular date yet for the Indian market but confirmed to launch both the devices soon.
