Lava just confirmed about their upcoming Z50 smartphone. The phone will be one of the first in India to run Android Oreo (Go Edition), which for the uninitiated, is a lighter version of Android with memory efficient apps for entry-level smartphones.
Lava Z50 features a 4.5-inch display with 2.5D Curved Corning Gorilla Glass and is powered by Mediatek MT6737m 1.1 GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. There’s 5 megapixel camera on the front and back with bokeh mode support and 8GB of internal space, which will give about 5.5GB to users compared to 3GB typically available in 8GB ROM devices.
Lava has not confirmed the price but given the hardware, it will be priced around Rs. 5,000 mark and will go on sale in mid-March in black and gold colours. Lava will also offer 2-year warranty and Rs. 2,000 cashback offer from Airtel.
