Android O, the next iteration of the Android OS has been officially announced by Google and it will be called as Android Oreo. Sticking to the Dessert naming convention, the Android Oreo was unveiled yesterday during the solar eclipse. Android O comes with new features like picture-in-picture that lets you see two apps at once and the Autofill feature will remember logins (requires permission) of various apps for faster access. Besides this, it also features stronger security protections and speed improvements.
Other notable feature will be the notification dots that lets you tap to see what’s new in your apps, like the important ones you put on your homescreen and then take action on those notifications quickly. Besides this, the emojis get a makeover in the next version with new emojis coming as well.
