Phone manufacturers are cramming in more RAM these days than you can find in PCs. With 4GB RAM becoming the defacto, manufacturers are now wooing consumers with 6GB RAM and upwards. Jumping on the bandwagon, Coolpad today announced the Cool Play 6, the cheapest phone to feature 6GB RAM. The other specifications of the phone also are decent. Powered by Snapdragon 653 processor and 64GB internal storage, the phone will retail for Rs. 14,999. Not only this, the phone also features dual rear cameras of 13-megapixel each. The front camera is 8-megapixel. It is a dual SIM phone with 5.5-inch Full HD display. It also features a finger print sensor at the rear.
The battery is 4000mAh and features Type-C USB connector. The phone runs on Android 7.1 with Coolpad UI. The company has claimed that the phone will receive the Android O update in December 2017 via OTA. The phone will come in Gold and Black colour options and will be sold exclusively on Amazon India from 4 September.
