Android creator Andy Rubin introduced its first smartphone named Essential PH-1. This is a bezel-less phone that features a 5.7-inch screen. The smartphone looks gorgeous, thanks to its edge-to-edge screen. It is made of titanium and the back is made of ceramic material.
The phone is powered by the new Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor. It comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone features 13-megapixel dual cameras with Hybrid Auto Focus combing Contrast, Phase Detect and IR Laser Assist Focus. It can record 4K videos at 30fps, 1080p at 60fps or 720p at 120fps. The front camera is 8-megapixel with 16:9 aspect ratio, f/2.20 fixed hyperfocal lens and records 4K video at 30fps, 1080p at 60fps or 720p at 120fps. The location of the front camera is interestingly at the top center of the screen.
The battery of the phone is rated at 3040mAh and supports fast charging. Essential-PH1 has taken a new approach to connecting accessories. It comes with two magnetic dots that lets you attach accessories like Essentials own 360° camera and more. The phone is available to pre-order for USD 699 (approx INR 45,000) and for USD 749 (approx INR 48,500) with the 360° camera. Currently it is only available in the US.
