HTC U11 is the third phone in the U series of phones from HTC and the current flagship. Powered by the latest Snapdragon 835 processor, the highlight of the phone is the new squeeze interaction called as Edge Sense that HTC has brought in. You can configure the squeeze with short and long presses, for instance, a long squeeze can launch an app. And because Edge Sense is based on the actual pressure applied to the side of the device, it can be used in nearly any condition – including while wearing gloves or in weather such as snow or rain that would normally be a challenge with capacitive buttons.
In terms of design, HTC has once again used what it calls is the Liquid Surface design and the phone looks really premium. The U11 features a 5.5-inch display screen with Quad HD 3D glass. The phone features 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage and also another version is on the offer with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage. HTC U11 is also IP67 certified and is resistant to dust and water splashes. With the introduction of the new USonic sound technology, the phone offers active noise cancelling.
In terms of camera, the HTC U11 features a 12-megapixel Ultrapixel camera and a 16-megapixel rear camera. It supports 4K video recording from the rear camera and HD recording from the front camera. The battery is 3000mAh with support for Quick Charge 3.0. The phone runs on Android 7.1 with HTC Sense.
The pricing of the phone is yet not disclosed, however, HTC will make the phone in June.
