LGs latest flagship, the G6 was launched yesterday with LG pinning high hopes on the phone to do well in India. The predecessor LG G5 that featured modular design, tried to gain some traction for the company but failed.
The front of the G6 is largely occupied by the 5.7-inch screen. The 18:9 FullVision display with rounded corners and narrow bezels lends the phone a premium look. With the G6, LG is focussing on providing users an enriching experience of the mobile phone. For this, the G6 features Dolby Vision that provides dramatic color, contrast, and brightness. It also features FullVision Display that packs more details on screen in the provided real estate. For superior picture quality, the G6 comes with Quad HD+ resolution.
Powering the phone is the Snapdragon Qualcomm 821 quad-core processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. You can use microSD cards up to 2TB to expand the storage. There are 13-megapixel dual rear cameras and 5-megapixel front camera. The battery is rated at 3300mAh. The G6 is IP68 certified, that means it is protected against dust and is water resistant up to 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes.
The G6 goes on sale today on Amazon India with cashback offers especially for Amazon Prime members. Priced at Rs. 51,999, there is Rs. 10,000 cashback on purchasing the same with HDFC and SBI Bank credit cards.
