Hugo Barra joins Facebook to work on Oculus VR

Earlier this week, Hugo Barra announced his departure from Xiaomi after working with the Chinese company for 3.5 years. Now Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg has confirmed that Barra will join his company to work in the Virtual Reality space. For the uninitiated, Facebook acquired Oculus and now Hugo Barra will lead Oculus’ VR efforts.

What Hugo and Mark have in mind is still a mystery but going by the post, it’s safe to say that both of them think AR/VR will be huge in the future.

Oculus currently sells their own headset and have one in partnership with Samsung.
