Android Auto’s biggest requirement and perhaps, the biggest restriction was the need of a compatible car. Google has now removed this requirement completely and all a user needs now is an Android phone running Android 5.0 and above. The app will allow user to access things on the road like navigation, music, apps and more without compromising on the safety while driving.
Ironically, the app does not support hands-free voice command, which means saying “Ok Google” won’t work. However, Google has confirmed that they’re working to bring it in the coming weeks.
The new update will be supported in over 30 countries and interested users can head over to the link below for more information.
